Compassion International is an international organization which has been endeavouring to protect the interests of children from the down trodden under priviledged communities in the third world countries, in close cooperation with the church. The support for its child centered programmes is mobilized from countries all over the world by making fervent appeals to people who are won by the love of our Lord. By the immense grace of our Lord, the CSI Kanyakumari Diocese could get support for opening three centers in places like Perinbapuram, Palliyadi and Maruthamcode. They have been functioning successfully ever since their inception in September 2002. The beneficiaries who have joined these centers are from various castes, creed and socio economic background.

As these project are functioning in the church premises, the infrastructure facilities needed for them are provided by the churches themselves. These projects have put sun shine on the faces of hundreds of under priviledged children. In fact, they have been instrumental in bringing about harmony in villages which are rife with communal, social and religious problems.
