C.S.I Kanyakumari Diocese is one of the 22 Dioceses under the Church of South India, was constituted on 2nd June 1959. During the past over 50 years it has, by the great grace of our Almighty Father, grown enourmousely on all dimensions. The details of the current position are available elsewhere in thid file. The strength of the congregations are doubled, the medical and educational institutions including special schools for various otherwise challenged children, houses for the children of the marginalized families. orphans and semi orphans, etc.speak volumes of the development. As an ecclesiastical organization forming part of the Church of South India :

To control, carry on, establish and develop the pastoral, evangelistic, educational, medical, industrial, socila, economic and other works which belong to it or which it may hereafter undertake;...
